Urgent Appointment

To request an urgent appointment for today or tomorrow (Monday to Friday)

Your appointment

However you choose to contact us we may offer you a consultation:

  • By phone
  • Face to face at the surgery
  • On a video call
  • By text or email

Appointments by phone, video call or by text or email can be more flexible and often means the doctor or nurse can help you sooner.

When you get in touch, we’ll ask what you need help with.

We will use the information you give us to choose the most suitable doctor, nurse or health professional to help you.

Appointment System

All consultations with doctors or practice nurse are by appointment only. Appointments are ensured within 48 hours. Each appointment is for 10 minutes only. If you need a longer appointment, then please let the receptionist know you would like a double appointment when booking.

Patients with urgent medical need (decided by doctor/staff) will be seen on the same day.

Please be specific about your requirements when making appointment for example consultation with GP/nurse, vaccination/immunization, family planning/smear test/ sexual health etc.

Telephone Consultation/Advice

This service is available at the end of each morning consultation session between 11.30 & 12.00.

Surgery Access & Parking

We have plenty of free street parking near the surgery. The access & toilet facilities are wheelchair and disabled friendly.

GP Extended Hours (Pre-Booked)

For the convenience of the working population, late consultations are held ONLY on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays between 18.30 and 19.00  These slots are available by appointment .  Please contact reception or book online.

Home Visits

If possible please try to telephone reception before 10:00 if you require a home visit.

You may only request a home visit if you are housebound or are too ill to visit the practice. Your GP will only visit you at home if they think that your medical condition requires it and will also decide how urgently a visit is needed.

You can be visited at home by a community nurse if you are referred by your GP. You should also be visited at home by a health visitor if you have recently had a baby or if you are newly registered with a GP and have a child under five years.

Cancelling or changing an appointment

Please let us know as soon as possible if you are unable to attend an appointment by calling reception. You can also complete our appointment cancellation notification request form. This can only be used if your appointment has been arranged for more than 24 hours in advance (excluding weekends and public holidays). You can also text to cancel your appointment.

  • If there’s a specific doctor, nurse or other health professional you would prefer to respond
  • If you would prefer to consult with the doctor or nurse by phone, face-to-face, by video call or by text or email
  • If you need an interpreter
  • If you have any other access or communication needs

Interpreter Service

Our practice provides a free interpreter Service for our patients for all languages. This service can only be arranged if the request is made at least three days before the appointment date at the surgery.

Please contact the staff at the reception desk to arrange the interpreter on 02083991779  during surgery hours specifying your spoken language.
